Re: Complete air suspension kit.... Help!

I just like the response I got from KP when I asked a ton of questions.

I tried like hell to save on my '69 while still running 8 valves. When it was all said and done I saved about $200 and it was NOT worth the hassle I went through.

This time I am just going with the 8 valve KP setup and cal it a day. Hindsight is a *****.

Looks like something from AIM to me. But you could try it out and let us all know how it goes.

Re: Complete air suspension kit.... Help!

So.... I guess I'm buying into the full kit rage. I think the self levelling aspect of these two is just too damn neat.

Price is the same, options are similar, but which is the best system?

Accuair or RideTech or another one that I don't know of? I must be crazy thinking that 2k for this stuff is worth it.

Has anyone used it or just afraid of it being junk like me?
I was refering to this valve
I did research and now have $1194 in a four bag with 8x 3/8 valves 5 gal alum tank-hoses and fitting- The Auto-pilot controller just need to order compressor and dryer
the alum tank could prevent rust in valves so spend a bit more now and save down the road

Re: Complete air suspension kit.... Help!

If it's ok to steal some action, I'd like to get my 86 c10 lwb in shape. Right now, it is stock. I was thinking of getting it lifted 4" so it would look cool and I could put bigger, wider wheels on it for look. Just because I would be putting that much money into the project already, (cheapest I have found for a good one is about $500 with shipping) I figured it wouldn't be that much more expensive to just bag it and have it raise up to 4" and drop down when I use it for work. I think I saw that there are bags for load leveling so they would work to keep my truck looking level when I tow a big load. I checked out suicide doors and like the price for their cheapest kit and bags but this may not fit my truck at all?

Either way, I figure a good tank and compressor will double for using air tools and if the controls can let me drop the front and back (preferred) or even each corner independently then it will be that much more of a cool ride. My hope is to install this with some buddies assuming that if I lift the frame up enough with my jack set and blocks, the suspension can be worked without any problems. Any suggestions are appreciated and please let me know if there is an especially worthwhile kit. I don't think I saw one with brackets to mount the bags so that may raise the part cost that much.

I like the kit you have up on your last post mtm_steven. That looks great but its about double the size of my college kid budget... Maybe I can get about the same performance out of a simple toggle switch and some set heights in the suspension? I'm fine sacrificing smooth and good looking performance for the general height resetting from low to high in just front and rear.

Feel free to send me an email: badassissimo@gmail.com. I'll be watching the thread and I'll let you know if I find a good looking kit mtm_steven. Thanks.
