Re: my 98' Streetrod build
Thanks man,,heres what Ive been workin on.I got the ECE hanging pedal kit and boy is it a nice unit. After hours of cutting and fitting and figuring,I got it in.Had to graft part of the oem pedal to the new one to get the offset.
What I started w/ What I cut away. |

Re: my 98' Streetrod build
I've commented on it at FSC and I'll do it here, Very nice job and if this is your first "full custom" build you are doing a great job.

Re: my 98' Streetrod build
9 months experience, huh? Looks like you're getting the hang of it. Nice work. Concept to completion doesn't always go as planned. You seem to know where you are going and how to get there. My plans don't always have the benefit of GPS....
So, how about those flip-flops....don't weld when you're wearing those, do you?

Re: my 98' Streetrod build
Thanks for the support.Im doing the work in my 2 car garage, just through the kitchen door, so sometimes I slip on the flip flops to snap the progress photos. If Im welding I'll wear boots, jeans and a flame resistant welding shirt along w/gloves,Helmet w/a leather flap. I dont know how some people do it wearin shorts and no gloves while holding the material steady w/their foot. Ive seen it....

Re: my 98' Streetrod build
Heres what I got for the interior so far,not finished of course.Everything seam sealed. Inside will be alot of bare metal scuff finish pieces w/visible,cleanly routed, plumbing and wiring.Face of dash will get 1/8" aluminum plate w/the same scuff finish.
Shooting for an optional ride height about like this.Doesnt seem, but actually have room to steer at this point. Crossmember about 2" from laying out. Will have to see... Last edited by Inverter; 12-26-2008 at 09:17 PM. |
