Re: Fast and Furious
Fast and Furious movies are good if you know nothing about cars and have no experience actually racing. I just can't be entertained by a movie where cars change lead in a race 47 times while shifting 63 times and hitting the "NOSS" 5 or 6 times (remember 1 bottle is not enough, GIVE ME TWO!) and when the end of the race is near and they are running strung out, they downshift and then, and ONLY THEN, they put the gas ALL the way on the floor! Good stuff...
These movies make Days of Thunder and Stroker Ace look like documentaries. I guess I'm just too much of car guy to enjoy car movies! I'll leave you with the most breathtaking quote in cinematic history: "Granny shiftin', not double clutching like you should. You're lucky that 150 shot of NOSS didn't blow the welds on the intake." - Vin Diesel

Re: Fast and Furious
That wasn't a Charger, that was a Plymouth Satellite named Hammer, made by Steve Strope, and it has a 500 cid Supercharged Wedge motor, it was on an episode of Rides and had an article in Hot Rod Magazine.

Re: fast and furious 3
At least he was right about it being a MOPAR. A kid I knew when the first movie came out swore up and down the the 70 Charger that Vin drove in the first one was a 64 Impala, because his uncle had an Impala...

Re: fast and furious 3
i didn't mind the movies so much, but the street races were never the same, after that friday it hit theatres, nothing but slow, ugly, p.o.s out pissing the cops off, that used to be cool with the 50-100 that use to go out.

Re: Anyone seen notice the Dualie in this trailer...?
I liked the first one, not so much so on the second, haven't seen the third, but this one looks like it has some good characteristics to be as good as the first. awesome!!

Re: fast and furious 3
They were all OK, as far as movies go. As for being any kind of representative for how street racing is, they all blow chunks.
And on top of that, if I hear one more teenage wannabe say the word NOS (pronounced- "noss") I think I'll go out of my mind. It's juice, nitrous, squeeze, spray, and maybe a few others that don't come to mind right now. But NOT NOS (noss)!!! Now that I'm done ranting...I'll watch the new movie. I just won't be in any hurry to get to it. Jay

Re: Anyone seen notice the Dualie in this trailer...?
That second dually deserves some credit also. Tandem super singles it looks like. BAD ASS! It appears to be a mid to late 80's body style as well.
