Skidder, the sticks on a CST should be chrome. The non-CST trucks had them painted black.

Bouncy is right. Keep in mind he is talking about floor shifters, i.e. transfer case and manual trans sticks. The auto column shift levers were all chrome regardless.

How about the stainless door edge guard I see on the K5? Was that a CST option or could anyone get order that?

On the side maekers.I thought CST's had the deluxe ones.those look standard.I'm thinking of the ones with the chrome trim.

Yeah, Chevy didn't "package" things like they do now. People were allowed to check which boxed they wanted piece by piece for the most part.
