Re: Hate to do it but I have too

It really chaps my a..

I just wonder what it is like being a person that comes home in their hybrid everyday from OfficeSpace thinking, "man I hate that truck!" Enough so that they write to the city and complain...

Those people can go to

Re: Hate to do it but I have too

Please check all your options before you crush. I would hate for the truck to get waisted for nothing. Take a look at this car storage canopy. At Harborfreight you can buy this for about $250 and they also have cheaper ones. I just talked to a guy that uses these and he say they last him about two years befor have to replace the top. Just thought you might wanna look into it. They are completely inclosed and no one will be able to see the truck.

Yeah get some classic plates for it and insure it in storage. Here with allstate in storage means its more or less it has insurance, but its not really covered because they assume you have it in some storage like a garage, but the days you want to drive it they cover it fully. I think they want 106 a year for my 65.

Tagged and insurance up to date with a covered vehicle with fully inflated tires is hard to argue with. Heck buy retreads or used tires. Anything.

Re: Hate to do it but I have too

ITS SAVED! MY neighbor heard my dad talking to a co-worker about it and my neighbor took it off my hands for 600.00 This weekend we are moving it into his shop and he is gonna start buying parts for it to restore it. The best part is, I am gonna get paid to do the paint and bodywork, the frame and all the sheetmetal repacement. I hate to see it go but atleast I know its going to someone that can show it the attention it needs right now.

Re: Hate to do it but I have too

i learned a lesson today. ASK YOUR WIFE PERMISSION FIRST!

well neighbors wife said No to him buying it so it looked like I was originally back to step one BUT he is being nice enough to let me park it in his garage till I can sell it. HE doesn't want to see it scraped. So guess i will continue to push it for sale.

Re: Hate to do it but I have too

Ok heres what you do, The county wants its money, one way or another, So just tag it and leave it sit right where its at. They cant do anything about it if they have got their piece. I would also look into the cover too. The only people that get pushed around by local government is the people that let themselves get pushed, just push back and they will leave you alone. They tried that stunt with me and all of my collection of cars, along with many other folks around me. They even went as far as to tow things while people were at work, well we pushed back and filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against the county and city. Thier new law excludes people like me because I was here first and so was my junk. The people who's cars were towed have also filed grand theft charges against the towing company and the mayor. So dont get pushed around, push back. Just do it legal....and if that fails, buy a shotgun and defend whats yours.

Put it on a car trailer, here in Va. If it's on a trailer, they can't bother you...

Re: Hate to do it but I have too

From the pictures it looks like YOUR truck is parked on YOUR property alongside YOUR house? I could kinda understand the complaint if it was parked on the street being public property, but this crazy. It seems like a decent car cover would solve the "eyesore" issue, other wise nobody could own a boat/RV/camping trailer/ORV/etc... Its not as if you are starting an auto wrecking yard in your front lawn! The people who make these types of complaints really need a reality check. I'd fight it, this is the USA not Russia....
