None of the cabs were good for anything but patch panels. The blue one was hit so hard, it bent the driver side firewall/ kick panel area. The light green one had the pass rear corner cut off. I don't have to mention the "rust" truck problems...

I feel the same way about the 59 Caminos...The 59 Wagon is a close 2nd. Reminds me of the tale of the fabricating shop down the road from a shop I worked at in S. Austin about 6 or 7 yrs ago. There were 5 or 6 59 El Caminos out back. I would drive by and ooh and awe. By the time I got the money to make an offer a couple yrs later, I was working somewhere else. I went back...and they were all gone. The business was closed as well, so there was no one to ask where they went.

Suprisingly, most of the cars were not wrecked, but were missing the drivetrain. Makes you wonder how they ended up there. I guess the engine/ trans went out if they were not wrecked. Back in the early 80's my brothers and I bought several non SS SB 350 powered Chevy Camaros, Chevelles and El Caminos that had nothing wrong other than the factory installed plastic timing gear stripped and the engine jumped time. We installed a new timing set, sometimes a healthier cam, droped the pan to clean the plastic out of the oil pump pick up and had a good running car for cheap!

Actually, there were only a few wrecked cars. In addition to the blue 67/ 68 that I already posted that was hit HARD in front and the burnt/ rolled 67/ 68, here are a few. A Maverick or Comet that looks like it met up with a telephone pole, a Le Mans that had a head on and a Chevelle that looks like it ran up under a semi trailer (?)

If I remember correctly, the only 2 dr Comet I saw was the one posted above, I believe it was a '61. It needed a driver side door and a passenger side ender, but it seems like the rest of the body was dent and rust free. I will leave that project to you, Chevloray. HAHA. THere were a few other Comets there, such as the 1960 model which had a "cat eye" tail light, similar to the 59 Chevy, but smaller. Did anyone know (or care) that the '60 Comet was originally an Edsel, but when Edsel went under, the Comet was doing well, so they made it a Mercury? FYI

Some really sweet iron there, and even the 4-doors are cool. I have three kids, my days of single man cruizing a 2dr or worse yet my 70 Camaro that only seats 2 and 2 midgets in the back are gone. That 59 wagon would be wicked! Are those square backed cars Rambler americans or 64-5 Chevelles? I am embarassed to ask since I should know but a pict and so much stuff missing I can't be sure?? No 67 chevelles there huh?? I'd drive for one if there is?!
