Re: Project C10
Some updates for you guys, i finished up the exhaust system. It is single 3" diameter from the collector (at the Y-pipe) all the way out. I used a small straight through muffler and it terminates at a small turn down before the rear tire.

Re: Project C10
So I found this pic of an interesting LT1 air intake setup. You guys think something similiar could be done with our trucks in conjunction with a cowl induction hood? Just an idea.....

A complete pic of the engine, out in the sun for a change.
Going to have the computer tuned on Saturday, hope to have it driving again by the end of the month, but I've said that before.....

Re: Project C10
nuke1 thanks a lot, it has been a long journey, but its finally coming together a little at least. I think at this point I want to do the one piece windows, a solid rear window, tailgate handle flip and shave the antenna hole. I will probably just do a solid dark blue, maybe some pearl, I like the "Hot Wheels" idea, will have to toss that around for sure. I know, Im jealous too, damn younger brothers, he's only 23 too. LOL

Re: Project C10
VA72C10 thanks, I beat my head against the wall for awhile trying to figure out the exact routing and how to keep it tucked up tight, I think it came out reasonable for home grown, no bender.

So back tracking a little bit, but this is what I started with years ago, my little truck in a tow yard in New Mexico. Sorry about the small pics, had to scan in regular photos and couldnt seem to resize them.

Re: Project C10
Not a huge update but dropped the truck off last night to have the computer tuning done at a local performance shop. The drive was short so we decided to tow it, trailer is a PITA for a short distance.
Also ordered LED tailight lenses from Classic Parts, along with some stuff for the 67'. Hope to have the C10 back next weekend.....

Were you able to mount the factory a/c compressor with that bracket?

Re: Project C10
Honestly I didnt even try, mine is not an A/C cab. I do however think that it wouldnt work. I had to cut some of the frame rail just to fit the A/C delete pulley. I believe that you would need a corvette or impala set-up to do the A/C with frame mods.

Thanks for the compliments, my bro is mostly a chevy guy too, he just loves that body style Ford. I give him grief all the time. I dont know man, that big block is pretty mean, but Id make him work for it!!

Re: Project C10
Ok a small update here, I burned up the MSD pump some how, I think the fuel level got too low and it overheated. Anyway, I ordered a Walboro 255lph high pressure inline pump and installed that. I lowered it slightly from the MSD version, and also remade the feed line from the cell. So far its holding up and is waaay more quiet that the MSD. I'll post some pics soon....

Re: Project C10
Ok guys here's the new Walboro pump and feedline, I shortened the feed and wrapped it with electrical to hold the coat hanger wire to teh hose. (the wire is helping the line stay in place and a gentle curve) This setup will be replaced soon with a 1/2" aluminum line with AN fittings on both sides of the pump.
