All jokes aside, the fifth wheel trailer boys may beating a path to your door when they see that running around town. with the fifth wheel cutout in the middle that would be great.

Re: I am a hillbilly and these pictures prove it

Bumper is progressing very well. I've been burning 7018 all day on it.

It's ready for the treadplate next. Then sand, grind, primer, and paint to match tailgate.

Re: I am a hillbilly and these pictures prove it

Here is the bumper basically roughed in. Still need to treadplate the top surface and bottom skirts. Maybe Sunday I will get more done on it. I'm at work today.

I like millers as well, but in a shop machine, I think the engine driven Lincoln's are better, my other machine is a Syncrowave 200, great machine.

Also, you had said you were interested in the dually, I am not going to sell the truck its self, but I am selling the body off of it if you are interested. I am mounting my welder on a trailer so I can tow it with my other rigs since I am not welding for a living any more.

Re: I am a hillbilly and these pictures prove it

Dude you are a red neck because of all the time you spent on that gate you don't have time to fix that screen on the window on the house on that 1st pic.

Truck comes 1st.

Re: I am a hillbilly and these pictures prove it

yeah, that's redneck... not hillbilly

rednecks wear roach toe boots, put rebel flag stickers and "aint skeerd" stickers in their back window, drink budweiser and yell "YEEHA"

hillbillys go barefoot, put racing stickers in the back window of their 4x4 chevette, drink moonshine, and yell "ooooweee"

I think you need to go with a "beware of dog" sign hangin' from that gate...every good respectable hillbilly has a dog in his bed (take that how you want)...Hey, I'm from Kentucky I can poke a little fun at hillbillies!

For a truly Redneck application: I know a carpenter contractor-type guy who built one of those for his rig (6" pipe), & took pains when welding to be sure it was airtight. Coupla fittings & a hose in the bed toolbox, & he always had a big onboard portable airtank for refilling those frequent flats from on-the-job nails in his tires, to get him to the tire store & save him having to change flat tires quite as often.

Not too bad of an idea really.

He used to fill it up to the max pressure that his compressor could give him, & store the compressed air there until he needed it.

I sometimes wondered what would happen if he got rear-ended really hard, with that "tank-full of compressed air" as his back bumper. Probably nothing, but my mind can create some funny, or not-so-funny scenarios.

OK here's my fabricated tailgate. Originally on my 83 made to be able to close on the camper door and hold a lot of weight for a sort of "back porch" when camping.

Not nearly as nice as yours but I figured I'd keep the thread going.
