Where do you find a switch that would switch between the two tanks? Is it manuel or an electric switch? Randy

You can either loot one from a dual fuel tank from a 73 and up truck or just go and ask for a 3 way switch from Napa or Autozone.

I don't remember where I saw this but, if you take the old seat tank out of the truck then fab up a small box just to have the sendor fit it and afix it to the frame the supply line ran to it then the motor you can just gravity feed off the two saddel tanks. Just a thought.

on a side-threat hyjacking note, does anyone know what these saddle tanks are worth? I just bought a project with the dual saddle tanks, but I am sketched out by them being where they are. I am probably going to install a friends fuel cell and use it, instead of the saddle tanks and behind the seat tank.

Dont think there worth much. out here they seem to be really common

scrap steel it is, at least with the steel and the low price of it right now I will get rid of the tanks and possibly be able to buy a beer with the steel money

I know it's an old thread, but to answer CG's initial question, I think the only downside would be the side impact issue that GM had in the late 70's and early 80's with fuel cells located outside the frame.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
