Re: What did YOU achieve truck wise in 2008...
well my truck got the front end smashed by some one else (long story) So it got parked out of sight for half the year for it pissed me off every time I saw it. Then my brother was suposed to fix it got the front end pulled out and drove it for 2 months, and when I got it back he took the radio, amp and subs out and cant seem to find them. So my year has went the wrong way as far as my truck has went but I have been remodeling our Basement and Installe central heat and air in the house this year that has taken all of my time.
On a good not vehicle wise my 7 year old son has the car bug and purchased his first vehicle and we picked it up yesterday. He bought a 75 MG Migdet and we will be working on that in the future. And I have rounded up parts to build a rat rod, 29 ford tudar body and a dodge poly head engine. So I have a few things going in the auto relm.

Replaced Targetmaster 350 with built 355. Proceded to work out weak points in driveline (carrier bearing, u-joints). Added headers from sourkrout and some home made mufflers. Brakelines and other misc. stuff being done at someone else's shop as a Christmas gift from my wife.

Re: What did YOU achieve truck wise in 2008...
I had mine done and on the road THEN found out that I could not get it to Missouri on a trailer so I tore it all the way down and put it in the back on a Penske truck when we moved. Not its sitting the my shop taken apart still. I have however bought another truck (donor) so that I can take just about everything (engine, trans, transfer case, electrical) and make a 4x4 out of my truck. When i rebuild the truck it will have a 6.2L diesel with a banks turbo and intake on it. That should liven it up. Then put a set of 35 mud tires on it and a nice set of Mag rims and well if it all goes right I can have it on the road by 2010. But otherwise taking one truck apart and being on deployment was my year. Really I spent from May- November on the USS Dubuque in the Persian Gulf DURING THE SUMMER talking about hot

From that:
To this: I also have a brand new Tri-Plus bed and some rust-free doors getting ready to go in for paint (no more rattle can!), but I'm not putting them on until spring. I'd like to keep them rust-free. And those damn glasspacks are not hanging there any more! Oh, I also put a hell of alot of miles on her!

Re: What did YOU achieve truck wise in 2008...
Got my 67 project from just a frame to a frame and a bed... Getting no where fast... Back on it again though.. Maybe the cab will be on at the end of 09.. I Bought the 64 off my buddy but we took it from the first pic and Dropmembered it and did the air ride, new motor, 700R4 and other little stuff then he was nice enough to sell it to me! Last pic is why I didn't get alot done on the 67... I put a ring on her finger! I wouldn't trade it though... We at least most of the time!

Re: What did YOU achieve truck wise in 2008...
I bought a fleet bed for it, a good tailgate, finished up the interior, and drove it a lot.
