Re: New grocery getter

So today I bolted on the new ubolts, put on the sway bar endlinks, and then rattle caned the rearend, and frame. Then I mounted up the tires on the rear. I did not get good side shots yet, my camera was dead this morning. I just ran out and took a couple of shots, but i had already put every thing away so it was kind of tight. The rest of the day I started to hook up the engine components, I had dropped the engine in a while back, but all that was hooked up was the mounts.I found I am missing the engine wiring harness, the body harness is there but the engine harness is MIA. I guess that is expected when you buy a basket case. I have a wrecing yard sending me one, so If I dont have it by the end of the week I will start on the tranny.

Thank you! I am using a 180 amp 220 volt mig. It is the northen tool brand, but is made by lincoln. I had a lincoln weld pac 100 110 volt for years, but this one is better suited to weld the 1/4" type material.
I should get some more done next week. I had some paying jobs this week to do, but next week is looking kind of slow so far. I spent thursday after noon changing the heater core, I dont know if any one has done one in an s 10 but what a PIA! You have to pull the entire dash out to gain access, I dont know what GM was thinking. I have some pics of it going back together I will post later, I hope to start on the tranny this week as well, I will do a write up on the rebuild of the 4l60e as I go as well.
