Re: Lmc = crap
I've been lucky with interior parts they have, made in Canada. I hear ALL aftermarket sheetmetal is China junk, not just LMCs.

Re: Lmc = crap
i did a major search and found every molding and outside door handles in stock at a few different Chevy dealers. Each part I need is at a different dealer. I have to call all of them tomorrow and see if they will ship the parts to me.

Re: Lmc = crap
Yo!
Yeah! project 67 sub is correct, and I've seen this confusion a couple of times in this thread. The place I order OEM parts from that I like is Classic Industries in Huntington Beach, CA. They sell a lot of GM approved products. Pricey, but worth the money for the quality and durability. Some parts you can get away with cheap stuff, and LMC buys lower-bid parts, but you just can't compromise with some items! And, I've purchased a lot of nice parts from LMC for cheaper than Classic Industries,...just gotta shop around, and buy smart. Todd.

Re: Lmc = crap
That's not true any more. There was a time it was flimsy and poorly stamped. I can personally attest to the quality of Goodmark fenders. I bought one from Capt Kaos and it looks awesome. The stampings are clean and crisp, and the thing weighs as much or more than a GM fender.

They HAD to change their name due to the great GM Corporation's lawsuit that had them for product name infringement. They had an old agreement with some GM officials for their company name BUT the new guys did not like it, so the lawsuit would have broken them financially if they had not changed their name. They are good people and we, the members of the Genuine Chevy GMC Truck Club of KC, will be in ther show room this afternoon for our first club meeting of the year. If you need anything, they are always happy to help. |
