Re: Resin Models - found someone making our trucks

I can handle the no wheels and steering wheel parts, have plenty of those in my parts bin, but it sucks I have to buy another $12-15 kit for just the glass It appears to come with everything else needed?

Re: Resin Models - found someone making our trucks

He threw in the engine parts (radiator, brake booster, headers, manifold etc..) and it has both bumpers, tailgate, grille, seats, dash, bed and cab...

so basically everything except the tires, axles, glass and steering wheel are there. Not bad for $35...

I did find a website with just the short bed for $22 but it doesn't have trim...

Re: Resin Models - found someone making our trucks

So if I wanted to make a dually, I could just get any model truck that is a dually and steal the wheels off of it and use it for one of these resin bodies?

Re: Resin Models - found someone making our trucks

So is that a yes? I haven't built a model in years and would like to again. I was thinking it would be awesome to get one of those crewcab bodies and then get a stepside model and glue the fenders on to the bed and turn a fleetside into a Chevy or GMC crewcab dually.

Re: Resin Models - found someone making our trucks

Yeah you could and it really easy if you have the time to mess with it. For gluing resin though its best to use a two part epoxy or super glue.

I actually sell alot of resin parts for our trucks including a corrected shortbed frame, dually rims, all 6 years of the grills and corrected interiors that have the seats removed and made a bench seat. Just havnt posted in this new section as I havnt renewed my subscription.

Re: Resin Models - found someone making our trucks

I did say I have not posted anything in this section for sale as I have not renewed my membership in that post and I did not offer anything for sale either cause of it. But as soon as I do renew I will be asking some of you mods as to where I can have it listed so it doesnt get lost in the forum if thats ok?

Re: Resin Models - found someone making our trucks

Ratpack,I think you`d be fine selling as a subscriber.I doubt many sales will result. If it actually turned into a real money-maker we`d expect you to be a Vendor.I`m sure this isn`t a business. You just got deeper into the hobby than most.Like me having a ton of truck parts to sell as a result of being a hobbiest to the 5th degree. We have members who are in the parts business who only sell occassional parts that aren`t paying vendor fees.
It`s cool to know we have a member that does this.and, you make more correct parts than any I`ve seen.
