Yeah, it's a little peppy but at my age I don't feel I need to prove anything to anyone so it hasn't seen any track time. I built this engine a year ago with with all street driving in mind. Just a daily driver my wife and I enjoy cruising around in. Joe

Sweet squarebody!! I'll be careful when I'm in Oklahoma next time. That would scare the tires off a stock truck.

Dang, there's some nice engines in here. Lot'sa CHROME, I like 'em

Here's mine. GM Crate 350 with older Rochester Quadrajet and vintage intake. It's nothing special, but I'm working on it. It's only got about 33,000 miles on it. Well, here it is.

I was told you get more air in like this. Not sure if true. A guy turned mine this way, but I switched it back because you also get a lof of trash in fliter as well.

Re: lets see some engines!

OK, don't shoot me.

A. the picture is horrible, but I just snapped a quick shot with my camera phone the other night.

B. It looks like hell under there right now, but that's merely because it's in the final stages of the frame-off and we were working to get it fired up and do some prelim. tuning. It will look much better under there soon.

Re: lets see some engines!

Here's the 350 in my '73. Runs strong... I can't say much about what's on the inside but judging from the upper end, it the way it performs, it's got some work in there. The intake valley is coated, the pushrods are fat, it's got some big studs, big rockers, guide plates and it sounds like it has a healthy cam. It needs the tall valve covers, short ones won't fit, if that means anything. The P.O. was into racing and had a few drag cars...he left this truck sitting for years, when I asked him about the engine, he just smirked and said it's been too long...he can't remember...

Not much to look at, but it pulls good!
