Im gettin it or goin to try. I had the hood to fly up and this metal is 39 years old and the hood was slam shut. Thank god I wasnt speeding no telling what woulda happened. Im kinda nosey do they have a chrome colored radiator or something on the market?

There are aluminum radiators.You could polish the tanks and frame.Or,theirs chrome colored paint.Hood latches won`t release themselves,but will fail to latch when closed if not properly lubricated.

it would release itself if pushed up, thats what i was asking.... i dont know about having the lever that opens the hood, being behind the bumper

As easy as it is to run a hood cable inside, I wouldn't put the rod on anyway...

My 71 has had single headlights for so long (my aunt hit another car and I couldn't find a GMC clip) that I think I'll have to let it stay that way.
Interesting piece even with the price. Now if the neighbors field truck with the perfect grill happens to die beyond mechanical repair look out. |
