I really wanted to know if everyone who uses these and is running a/c had to significantly modify the unit to make it work. Am I justified in asking them to pay the return shipping charges? Thanks guys.

BB72, if you are not satisfied with them, I think you are entitled to a refund. Tell them you think they should pay for the return shipping, and see what they say.

Apologies for not wanting to waste people's time with another thread, when this one has already answered my questions.

If you would have read every post you'd see that someone has these kick panels, and has posted pictures of the modified panels for a/c trucks

More of a smart A$$ remark than an apology. I read every post and realize several have been modified. This is the first time I have ever asked anyone not to hijack my thread and you as a new member should show a little more respect in my book. I politely asked you to refrain from straying off topic. I think in time you will realize this board is full of fine folks who do not take kindly to someone who does not return the respect they were given. End of rant.

New member? I've been around here quite a bit longer than you have.

You didn't politely ask me, rather you were a bit scruff in your suggestion.

If anything you were disrespectful to me, but alas I'll bury the hatchet as both of our questions have been answered.

Sorry for the OT post, best of luck.

I used double sided velcro....allows for easy removal.

Yep, that is no problem. Just make sure they are against the kick panel tightly, or the pedal will just slightly rub on the speaker sticking out

It's amazing how those things happen. I put an envelope with a money order in the mail, and it came back as a box with the kick panels in it.

Re: Kick panel speaker assmy problems

Trimming these is not a problem only a small amount on the pass side one is required if you have AC.
Attached mine with a single self tapping screw between the speaker and the toe board, though I do like the velcro idea leddzepp. I did have to bend my E Brake pedal over a bit as it rubbed on the speaker, it was only slight but I thought every time I use the E Brake my boot will probably be scrapping down the face of the speaker too.

Here's mine.
