Re: 67 SWB Stepside - Old School Style

Sorry, I spelled it wrong Lucky. The company is Hagan Street Rod Necessities. Given the fact that it would be tough to reach into the side marker opening and unscrew the cap, I needed something like a quick fill/race cap. Hagan sells one called a "fill through" cap that has a hinged flap on the cap, all you do is stick the fuel nozzle through it, when you remove the nozzle, the cap closes.

Looks pretty righteous! You've done all the work yourself so far, thats impressive! Bodywork is what I struggle the most with, want to do mine?

Re: 67 SWB Stepside - Old School Style

Thanks Bob...Actually I've got a friend who does body work and it wouldn't even be close to where it is now without his body and paint magic. I've had the fun task of sanding though, LOL. That and putting in the interior. He IS in Iowa City though, if you get stuck with body stuff, I'd get a hold of him and throw the work his way...he's great!

Re: 67 SWB Stepside - Old School Style

The bed's sanded and primed, the filler neck mounting is being a pain in the a$$ right now...I'm hoping to have the bed on and call it done for a while by this weekend. I'm gettn' spring fever!!

I wish I had used Stockinteriors, they have carpet in a bright red that I really like. I went with a Summit supplier but carpet isn't TOO terribly high priced so I may rip the darker stuff out this spring/summer and put the Stockinteriors stuff in.

Com'on warm weather!!

Re: 67 SWB Stepside - Old School Style

I used to play the drums. Been in several bands. Haven't played in a few years now. I miss it sometimes.

Ah ha, no offense but, I didn't think this looked like your first rodeo! What's his name and how do I get ahold of him? I probably can't afford it, but I'd be interested in talking to him. Thanks, Bob
