Re: 72 K5 Frame off.....
Very slick blazer, inside and out! I really like the interior seat color combo. Later down the road when I redo my seats with marine vinyl I am going to do them with this color combo. Really great looking rig. Have you completed more since your pics in March?

Re: 72 K5 Frame off.....
Hey thanks!
I've been gone most of the summer so there hasn't been alot of progress. The truck is pretty much done short of making a/c hoses and efi tuning. I've had some issues with the holley setup that I'm still in need of getting worked out. New grille is in and custom driveshaft were the last things, I'll post some more pictures. I'm ready to drive it!

Re: 72 K5 Frame off.....
Seems like forever since I've posted any progress! Summer of 2011, I guess it has been.
Had issues with the old technology holley cmd950 so ended up biting the bullet spending the $$$$$ and upgrading to the newer HP EFI setup. Which meant rewiring most of the engine and computer harness, electric fan and a ton of other crap. I just hate doing things twice! Had to redo the whole fuel system do to metal and the wonderfully corrosive ethanol mixture of fuel we have. So new poly tank and braided hoses replaced the steel tank and lines. New set of 36lb injectors to match up with the new efi setup. Decided to mount the spare tire back on it, but had to fab a few pieces that I couldn't find the oem stuff for. Going back to the body shop in the morning to better adjust the door to top fitment. I've also had brake issues that just didn't seem right and finally discovered the aluminum master I got from Frank on this site is leaking so I've got to pull it off and get a new one. Man I'm ready to put some miles on this thing after this much work! It's got 64 on the clock! Lol I got it inspected last January and now its up again!

Re: 72 K5 Frame off.....
Wow, what an inspiration! I'm a new owner wanting to modernize my audio. You fabricated that radio piece for the double din and build the kicker panels yourself? The entire rig looks fantastic, but I love those pieces. Do you recommend any of the audio product(s) in particular? It looks like you got serious with it, no doubt! Where's your sub? Congratulations on this amazing build, that is a beast & you've got skills. I speak for lots of K5 junkies when I say, more photos and more youtube footage would be great!

Re: 72 K5 Frame off.....
Thank you sir!
I did pretty much everything except the paint (only because I don't have a booth), powder coating and some of the upholstery. I do not like the Alpine head unit. I bought it way too soon in the build and the technology changed so fast it was out dated before I even put it in. The hard part is done though so I may sell it and buy something else. Truck has less than 100miles on it though so it hasn't been an issue. I need to drive and tune the holley system more, but haven't had the time lately. I can't seem to find a sub picture of it installed. I cut a 12" polk momo into the passenger side box i made.

Re: 72 K5 Frame off.....
I guess I didn't answer your audio question fully. With all the sound deadening material the stereo sounds really good for that big of an open area. The polk momo components I like very much, first polk brand Item I've bought. They are very crisp for the price. Alpine amp is very good, I should have bought two instead of using the kenwood mono, but I had it and its enough i guess for now. Polk sub is average, but I didn't want to go any deeper on the box for a real sub. All in all I am very happy with the whole thing.

Very nice progress. Too bad about having to do your wiring twice. Keep the updates coming.
