Welcome to the boards from Kansas City, KS. My brother lives in Medford, OR and I am going out there in the next few months to bring a '62 GMC 4x4 Suburban back with me.

Let me know if you need some parts, because I currently have lots of good stuff at my brother's place in Medford and lots of good stuff at my shop in Kansas City.

Your rig looks great and congrats on all your progress. Please keep us posted with lots of pictures.

Re: my build thread

You got to love that for 20$, looks good. I put new shorter shocks on after I did my jeep coils. Rides great, I would highly recomend it. ( check my thread with part numbers, I used a procomp toxic shock, (cheap) 30$ each... Looking good, love the stance. What kind of drop did you end up getting?

After I did new shocks I don't hit the rubbers anymore... A lot Of guys just cut them down a little...

to tell you the truth i didn't even check how much drop it gave me. I would say 4+ inches. I'm gonna have to look into those shocks next.

Re: my build thread

Hey guys.. Been awhile since I've been on here, kinda put my 60 aside for a while so I could get my Eclipse running so I can race it this summer. But a little update, I bought a blazer tank and made a pretty *****in brass knuckles shift knob at the machine shop I used to work at(got laid off! Damn economy). But I've been thinkin about changing directions with my truck. Instead of doing the pro street look I wanted to I'm thinkin about puttin it on some bags. I still want to build that small block for it, but I'm thinking I would really enjoy building the rear frame and doin something special with the trailing arms and setting up bags. But yeah thats where I'm at now! Hope to go back to work soon so I can get started on it!

Re: my build thread

So today I got some work done on my truck. Took out the gauge cluster and taped it off and sanded on the passenger door. Trying to get the interior done, just need to find a good bench seat. Hopefully I can post some pics of a finised interior soon (: Altho I'm not sure what color to paint it yet.. any ideas?

Re: my build thread

Worked on the 60 today. Brought my welder home from my Moms house and welded the seam up on the end of the bed and filled in the holes where the old mirrors went. Gonna make some patches for the stake holes soon and get them in.

Um I'm kinda all over the place with this truck. I'm trying to work a guy for his 454 for it. And still waiting on a reply from this guy about a donor truck I found on CL 79 Chevy for the front and rear end. And still searchin for a nice bench seat probably one out of a mid 80's chevy. So yeah I'm kinda just bouncin back and forth between body work and just searchin for parts at the moment.

Re: my build thread

So I found a good deal on some parts this weekend and I'm hoping to go get them this week. Found a front cross member steering box and brake booster and 12 bolt posi rear end for 150, I just gotta go pull it.
