I'd love to tell you what brand it is, but it's a cover I built myself. One of these days I'll go out and take some pics and send them to you. Don't think I forgot if it doesn't happen right away, I will get them to you.

I would love to see it in person one day. f. monroe: I just got done voting for yours. real good company on here.
Thanks for the info. I was thinking about dropping my front 1 more inch and taking out the load spring from the rear. Im not sure if it will rub when I hit bumps. I guess I will find out the hard way. Thanks again.

Re: What tire ?

Man, - this thread is awesome - amazing trucks everywhere !!! I hope mine will come out as beautiful as your trucks ... well we`ll see !

small question - sorry for that:

@N2TRUX

do you think a 255/40R20 tire may be too harsh for a static drop (2,5" spindles and 3" springs) ?
What tire would you suggest ?

Thank you,

Rob

Re: What tire ?

I noticed one of you posted their truck with 295x40x20 on 9.5 or 10 in wheels with 4 3/4 bs . Any inner fender mods - if not that must be very tight- On the rear I have 275x50x17,s on 9.5 rims with 5.5 bs. I really wish I had got 4.5 - 5 in bs - really like yall,s better than mine .

question - would a 1 in spacer work & are they safe > Iguess that would depend on where you got it .

I think that has plenty of sidewall to give you a decent ride. but that can depend on the brand of tire. It's going to be rather wide too, so factor that in.

Re: What tire ?

jared thanks for the response, i found a low profile one like that but im a bit skeptical to order it. i would love to see some better pics of that thing and how you made it.

back to the subject at hand i cant seem to find many manufacturers that make a 255/40/20 what brand are you guys running? what did they run you? i have found the back ones for as cheap as 100 per tire but i cant match it with the front.

Re: What tire ?

I think Toyo makes that size . I intend to run the Toyo Proxes in 255/40 front and 295/40 or 295/45 rear . Still undecided . I am going to check with the local wheel shop before I order anything though .

Re: What tire ?

Frank is right. Toyo Proxys do come in that size. I think they are a nice tire for the price.

Hey frank, I'd sure try to suggest the 295/40s. almost all the trucks I've done with 295/45s just looked a little out of proportion in the rear. real balloonish, UNLESS, the thing sits real low. I mean step notch low. just a tire guys perspective. Also someone asked earlier about the clearance on 20x10 with 4-3/4" b/s. That is what I have and there is probably an inch and a half to the inside. about a half inch to the outside. no rubs at all. (I did trim the wheel well molding just to be safe.)

Re: What tire ?

I bought a set of Toyo Proxes 2 . A little different tread than the regular Proxes but they said the others are being phased out . I ordered 255/40 and 295/40/20's . They arrived today . Once my wheels get here , I will see what it looks like . Thanks for the advise .
