Re: Better Late Than Never...

Thank you everyone for making me feel so welcome. I hope you don’t get tired of me because I will be submitting numerous more photos of the past trucks that I have owned (we are talking over 30).

Re: Better Late Than Never...

Folks, I have to go a bit off topic here, if all y'all don't mind. And this is going to be a bit long, but I swear it's worth the read.

Last fall, my cousin, Jerry Jones, & his family; & I decided to go to a get together that was posted by Kev's Classics.
The meet was down in Atwater, Ca. We were expecting a park, ball field, or shopping center type of environment.
When we arrived at the address, it was a residential neighborhood! We timidly rolled up the driveway into a back yard.

We were at Rene & Renate's (his lovely bride) house. It was a combination birthday party for Rene & a truck get together.

Bear in mind, these folks had no idea who we were, other than we were driving older GM stuff.
They treated us like we were long lost friends. I never felt more at home with a whole mess of strangers.

I guess I'm done, I don't know what else to say.

Larry

Oh, yeah, Thank's, Kev, for putting up the original posting. Had it not been for you, I'd have never met these folks.

Re: Better Late Than Never...

Welcome, glad to see you're finally a part of this group...this is by far the best forum I've found...FOR ANYTHING.

I had to work when you guys had your get-together last fall. I was really looking forward to stopping by, even if I my truck wasn't running. Can't pass up a truck show in my own hometown. Let us know when this year's show is going to happen, I'll be sure to make it. Shouldn't be too hard, you're literally just a few blocks away.

El Jay, First of all, thank you for spelling my wifes name right, I had a blast! I just wish the rain would have stopped at 6:00am instead of 11:00am. Remember, you and your family have an open invitation to any events at our place, there is no such thing as strangers, only friends!!

How's my old 72 looking? Unfortnately it looked a little sad the last time I saw it (needed waxing and the rims were filthy). I know it's changed hands a few times since then. Riverside is my old stomping grounds, I was born and raised in Corona, half my family still lives there.
