Re: my lame attempt @ nice pics...

With the way those kerosine heaters stink you could have cranked the truck up and closed the garage door enough to keep the heat in!!!
Then that picture in the suburban would have been scary for sure.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: my lame attempt @ nice pics...

I ain't complaining... after years or working in the driveway... this is awesome. I've done the Tx summer in the driveway thing too (it was gravel too) and it sucks big time... did a few engine swaps out there too... NOT fun.
The heater doesn't stink at all. if the wick is adjusted right, then they burn clean. I have a carbon monoxide detector in there and it didn't make a sound.
As for the door.... that shot was taken right after loading the tranny in the bed of the longhorn, and 3 min before I left.
Thanks for the props guys.

There nothing like working outside on the truck and working around the weather to boot!

Cool pics Andy.
Oregon titles haven't looked like that in over 20 years. It's funny, that address is within a couple miles of my house!

Re: my lame attempt @ nice pics...

When it rains (snows) it pours. This morning (9 deg) pulling out in my`92 I see I have no oil pressure.I back right back in leaving a swath of oil...one of the oil cooler lines blew off the block.I had to lay out and fix that mess today.I`m really missing my old shop.

Re: my lame attempt @ nice pics...

i hate external engine oil coolers... the GM ones always start leaking and making a huge mess. Never saw a reason for it on a normal/stock street vehicle.
Another one of GM's "better" ideas.

Re: my lame attempt @ nice pics...

Man,you guys are nerts!!

I hear "you",Andy.Nothing like dumping all your oil and blowin`your motor because some 50 cent window winder clip didn`t hold.I`d think it`s better for an engine to run with oil that`s a handful of degrees warmer than with no oil. They could at least use aircraft-type fittings on such a vital part.

Re: my lame attempt @ nice pics...

I know that your grateful for your new garage and aren't griping LHM. I also know that those kerosene heaters do a great job if you don't have to work any further than 3 feet away from them (which is always). Heck we can't even get fuel for ours, for some reason no one sells kerosene down here anymore.
