how did you fit the pickup bed on the longer frame? and i see you used a wider axle too

I don't know what k30cummins truck was originally but, chassis cab models were offered in 131.5 wheelbase in that era.

isn't the cab-to-axle a bit longer on a cab and chassis? i was wondering how he centered the bed over the axle without a gap between the two, iirc, i believe the cab and chassis are 4 inches longer cab-to-axle?

The chassis cab of the GM light trucks of that era came in
131.5
135.5
159.5 and
164.5 wheelbases.

for the record i cut exactly 4" out and swapped in a dually rear axle housing but used all my brakes
