Re: Got my 20's on tonight

Frank you just stepped out of the Minor Leagues, and leaped in to the Big League. This is the look you have been seeking, and you nailed it.

Now you have a truck that should appeal to just about anyone. It's clean crisp factory lines are unaltered, and truly enhanced by the classic five spoke design of the wheel.

The stance is spot on with enough drop to accent the larger size wheels without being excessive.

You have just surpassed all of your previous attempts by a quantum leap...

Re: Got my 20's on tonight

Thanks everyone for the compliments . I am glad I FINALLY bought the 20's I should have bought years ago . It rides great and looks like I have wanted it to . Ken ,I will get the pics emailed to you . I drove it to a local get together tonight and it was well received . Even had several "Is it for sale" comments . To Anyone worried about the ride with 20 inch wheels , dont . It is much better than i ever thought . I am going to try to work on detailing it now . The pics make it look better than the paint really is but I think it will work with the right waxing etc . I also need to clean it under the hood over the next few months . Yes I said months because I am slow .
Frank

You're just saying that because it's basically a twin of your truck

Just kidding, the truck looks great. Get that paint cut and buffed then hit the shows!!

Well yeah.....

Actually Frank and I have talked quite a bit as he has progressed through his different truck/wheel combos. I knew that this is the set up he wanted, he just had to realize it himself.

Holy Cow Frank!!!!! That is awesome!!! Well that decides it for me! 20" and your setup is what I'm going for! That and now I need to look for a older SWB too. That chrome trim on that black truck just pops with those wheels! Congratulations on another fantastic amazing looking truck! Now you need to come up to Oklahoma so we can see it in person.

Hey Frank and Ken,

If you two don't live too far away, I think your two trucks have awesome potential for a photo shoot.

Re: Got my 20's on tonight

Nice lookin wheels. Heck it's a good lookin truck!

One question. What size tires did you go with? And how much did you lower the truck?

Reason I ask is I just put 20's on my 82. I used 255/40/20 up front and 275/40/20 in the rear. I have mine lowered 5 in the front and 7 in the rear.

I have a issue with the tires in the front rubbing on the inside when I turn and hit a bump at the same time. It's not real bad but I am thinking about re doing the fenderwells in the front.

If you wanna see what it looks like check it out in my build thread. "Orange Animal". Thanks
