Re: 67-8 GMC TG, New "Takeoff", Perfect!

We have all heard the stories of how cheap Greyhound is. Not this time. I can just get this under the FedEx Max sizes and it is only about half as much as bus...$80.
Bus takes up to 2wks for big heavy packages/FedEx about 1 wk...and bus max insurance is $300/FedEx $800 OK.
Here are pics of crate around TG. If anyone says they will "crate" & ship for under $1,000---that is a good deal! LOL, I think.

I bought a NOS tailgate that was crated and shipped (KS - AL) by another member and it didn't cost anywhere close to that.

Shane: Did you put it on a mule? I always hear about these great deals & prices, but I can never seem to find them. This one is going WA to NH and in 2009. Maybe it is distance and the new year that is costing more. The bus sure was a disappointment.

Frank, I shipped one from FL to NC, FEDEX for approx. $80.00. Is the crate putting you over the limit? I double wrapped mine in HVY card board and barley squeezed it in on measurements. It arrive with no problems...

Sounds about the same: FedEx, coast-to-coast, 77lbs, $800 insurance for about $80.

Re: 67-8 GMC TG, New "Takeoff", Perfect!

Florida to NC is a heck of a lot shorter than Washington to New Hampshire.
sometimes is can be little differences - one town away might be 20% less money
I spent 16 bucks to ship a steering wheel today via usps - Ohio to NM
