Re: Is this that rare corvette option C10
The fact that he is a member doesn't change anything for me. I still don't like that truck. I am also very confident that when I get done with my truck there will be plenty of people that don't like my truck including my wife and in laws. But thats ok I didn't build it for them I built it for me.

But!!!! I'm going to set the venues! First, we're going to a haul a big load of crap to the dump. After that, we'll go to Lowe's and get a 1 ton pallet of wood pellets for the wood stove. Off to the lumber yard to get all the materials we need to replace the falling down fence. Ya see, some of us don't have the money & time to build just "looking at" trucks. We have to have working trucks. Both of my trucks work, and most times they work hard. And, quite frankly, it's not unusual for them to work way beyond their "design capacity." That's why I drive this genre of trucks, I know they can do whatever I throw at them. I just pick the truck better suited for the job at hand. If I have offended thee, get over it. Now I'm in trouble with Liz. Quote:

Re: Is this that rare corvette option C10
The builder of that truck is a true artist! It shows the realization of an individuals "perfect truck".
I have constant 'visions' of my dream car/truck(not a showroom stocker from any year as anyone can do that), but lack the proper skills/motivations/funds to transform what I have into what I dream about. At least its not another fully optioned, completely restored, just like the catalog picture C/10!(except lowered 2/4 'cause thats how they shoulda done it in the first place, lol.)

Re: Is this that rare corvette option C10
The point bad6772 was making is it's not nice to post a pic of someones truck for the intent of picking it apart.
There is plenty of that on other forums, lets not be like that here,

I know this is a wicked old thread but I would like to see pictures of the inside... If the meticulous work put in to the exterior reflects the interior at all then I am sure it is amazing!

Re: Is this that rare corvette option C10
I am building my 68 to meet "my" personal vision of what I want. Now on my 66 I am leaving it all stock due to the 327 four on the floor numbers matching thing but I respect the workmanship. (I couldn't do it.) Just not my taste though.

Re: Is this that rare corvette option C10
why is this thread not shutdown? I've seen so many where the mods come lock them at the first hint of a bash. Seems its always the way different ones that get bashed the most. Nobody says lowering a truck is stupid. it is. But you hide the headlights and everybody starts drinking hateraide.
At least its not an international put together with a cavalier. |

Re: Is this that rare corvette option C10
I guess since the thread is over three years old, they figured they could grandfather it in....dunno, im not a mod....but, you could report it with an exclamation mark by your sig.

Re: Is this that rare corvette option C10
Probably because until early this morning, it was a 3 1/2 year old thread. You're right, all the bashing is unacceptable by current forum standards. Today's comments have not been critical.
If you wish, a simple click on the 'report post' button will alert mods and they can decide whether to close it.

Re: Is this that rare corvette option C10
I don't bash on all the lowered trucks with 20" wheels and airbags, so I don't think others should bash on this guy because he went even further.
One man's good taste (airbags and 20s) is another man's 71-Camaro-front-end. Besides, like it or not, he spent a lot more time realizing his vision than sticking some fugly modern wheels on a 40 year old truck, or painting "patina" on with a roller. So at least give him that... [I just noticed this is a rather old thread, or at least the critical posts are. I'm glad to see the community has evolved beyond it.]

Re: Is this that rare corvette option C10
I don't see a 71 Camaro front end. Maybe a 69. Still, I'd like to develop that level of skill.

Re: Is this that rare corvette option C10
Look at post #36 above. He expressed interest in seeing the interior of the truck. He didn't get any info about that, but several people have replied with various comments -- including me, and now, you.

To me I like it, if you slam someone elses pride and joy it shows a lack maturity for yourself. Hell I couldn't fabricate anything close to this. I respect this mans skills.
