Re: Upgrading to P/S in a '60 GMC V-6
From what I can tell from your pictures, the CPP kit look like not all of the mount bolts do not go through the frame? Did some of them simply screw into the bracket? I'll order mine tomarrow.
Jake

Re: Upgrading to P/S in a '60 GMC V-6
yes it is the lower left hole and upper right as seen in these two pics you drill out the threads on the box and the bracket is tapped with threads the other two screw into the box from the inside of the frame i should have stated that and i should have posted a build on this when i was doing it just because of our years 60-62 hope this helps

Re: Upgrading to P/S in a '60 GMC V-6
THANKS! NOw I got it, I was wonder why they tell you to drill out those bolt holes on the gear box. I'll redo my webshots album and set it up to reflect the better CPP setup.
Matt, your project looks complete, is it? Got any pictures? Thanks, Jake

Re: Upgrading to P/S in a '60 GMC V-6
I got the CPP adaptor in and it is set up for the 60 frame better than the REZ kit. The instruct. are a bit shaky and you need to read through them several times, but after that it will click into place. All I have to do is buy 4 bolts and drill 2 holes. On the BB one of the members put a few tack weld on the bracket just as a safety issue I'll do that also. I probably won't need the inside plate but will use it. Also CPP give you the Steering rag joint column so I won't have to buy one from Capt. Fab. I took some pic and will up load them tom for the group to see.
I'll get around to mounting it this week end (I hope) Jake
