Re: New Plans!
i personally support the idea of the cab and bed swap
if you swapped the dodge pieces to the chevy frame body you would have to (on some nto sure on yours) relocate spring perches, hangers etc, make a new cross over steering set up (or at leas enough to make the price noticeable) drive line lengths, tranny/ t case mount motor mounts wiring locations/mounting, will the power steering set up mesh with the dodge chevy mix? OR you can swap the chevy cab to the dodge running gear and really only have to worry about plumbing the cab with electrical making new frame to cab mounts, "little things" in comparison to the list above... might have to do some metal work to make sure the tranny hump lines up correctly (i diddnt see if either is a manual tranny) i think it would be alot easier to put the chevy parts onto the dodge frame.. yes it's "blasphemy"to hard core brand fans..... but who cares! it's YOUR truck and i think it's cool... besides.. who the hell would expect a cummingsin a chevy?

Re: New Plans!
Thats what I'vr come up with both are manual trans and the dodge has power brakes and a hydrolic clutch so I'm planning on using the pedals and stuff like that off the dodge and fit them to the chevy. Only problem I can see is that the chevy is a 127" wheelbase and the dodge is 131". But I measured the dodge and its right on the factory spec but my 68 is really 128" so it's only 3" and with the way the rear tire on these trucks sit a little forward of center line of the wheelarch and maybe gapping the bed and cab a little I think it will work, besides the cab and bed on these trucks are really close and if I do hook it to a sled and it twists up a little bit then there goes the paint!
