At least that's what it says on the nastyz28 site.
(or a 1975 262 with can't even be given away)

I believe it is the '73 350

In building a 383 you can use the 5.562 rods from a SB400 with a stock 350 piston. However this leaves a bit of extra piston to deck height......I don't remember just how much. I would just use the 5.7 rods from the 350 and get a set of 383 pistons. They aren't that much more than a good 350 piston since 383's are so common these days.

Re: Score!!

If you wanna spend the $$ on rods, go ahead with some 6" ones. That puts less side load on the piston and there were some other reasons too but I'm kinda fuzzy headed right now...

Of course, with the 6" rod, pistons are a definite must.

As far as a stand to put it on to crank it, don't you have a frame sitting around somewhere with nothin' on it???

hmmm...
I will have to do some research..

yeah I have the frame, but it is completely bare, guess I could slap the front cross-member back in it to fire it up though
good idea Tim!!
