I've hauled or towed just about everything you can imagine with the 71 but here is what I like to tow best.

The photo was taken at Shilshole Marina in Seattle Last year when we were getting ready to raise the mast before launching to go to Port Townsend.

By those interesting buildings that can be seen across the water in Wes's photos are one place you don't want to end up.

I mainly tow my race truck with my 98 Chevy 3/4T extended cab but I also take my daughter's 60 GMC 1/2T to shows as she is building it and I also pick up the odd parts truck or project truck I can't turn down. Here some hauls

And I also help out my CrewChief by hauling his stuff to my place!

these trucks were built to haul trailers AND look good at it!

gator2511....at least you can't get kicked out of a trailer park for having an old camper.

back in 1990 my family went to a resort campground in mass with our 72 suburban and 71 holiday trav'ler 23 footer. we still have the camper and i am currently fixing up my recently purchased 72 burb for trailer towing. my dad put 3/4 ton coils on the back of his back in the day and since mine is already a 3/4 ton i plan to put the HD option rear coils on it for even better load capacity. some of the other vehicles here could use a bit of lift in the rear for sitting level while hauling (like the s10 blazer...lol).

i have a set of stainless flip out towing mirrors from my dad's 84 burb and the chrome roof lamps from his 72 (found it in a junkyard a couple years after he sold it) and they will find their way onto my truck. the stock sport may look "cute", but they suck for visibility even when not towing a trailer! can't wait to get these details (and many others) squared away and and pull that old holiday out of retirement. i plan to haul other things with my burb also.....tow dolly, motorcycle trailer, box trailers for moving things.....whatever needs doing!

going to owls head transportation musuem (owls head, maine near rockland) for the truck show on saturday, july 18 and hope to be taking the suburban with me. and sunday is a car show at the boothbay railroad which is in the neighborhood!
