I have also found out that many 6 cylinders used parts off of the older series trucks until they were gone. So alot of the key switches, brake parts, etc., are actually the same as older models.

Never saw where you listed the year of your truck.

Always look for the guy with the grayest hair at NAPA.
Yeah. The stainless would be nice, but I dont know how long this motor will last me. Once it dies, it will be replaced.

Im sure this truck has many parts from other trucks. Its been a hassle but I got it figured out.

The truck is a 67.

Haha. They guy with the grayest hair was definitely help at napa. But believe it or not, the youngest guy was the most help. He knew his stuff and was pumped to help me figure everything out.

Re: 292 water outlet issues

One clue to the year of engine is the paint color. The last year that color was used (which looks like original paint) was 66.The 67 and newer engines were red orange. Check engine code on distributor pad for exact year. I would say it is a 63-66 engine. Also, radiators were changed from upright in 66 to crossflow in 67, which will effect type of radiator hose is connected.

Re: 292 water outlet issues

Noticed today from doing "the loop" that my hose is crimped from the bend. Will that cause an issue?
