Lowering blocks for my 72 gmc?

While I agree that ECE is good, they can & do make mistakes. But, it's the CS that 'corrects' those mistakes & make them worth returning to again & again. I have used both of these companies since before 2000. I continue to do business w/ECE (just bought some stuff last week) . . .... not so much CPP & just because of that reason. You know when I 1st posted this Thread, I got a "Hint" that 1 or 2 people may have had a problem with CPP, but I thought........
"They havent screwed me over yet...so I'll give em' a shot".
You know after posting this Saga regarding my tail of CPP,
people are now coming out of the wood work to let me know their displeasure with them.
At this point I think I intend to cut my losses and tell them,
"Thanks.....but NO THANKS" and not to name any Forums or Posts, but to tell them it may be to late to get their **** together, because they just lost me along with countless others.

Back when I was in high school I was a manager at mc donalds, what they taught us was that one disgruntled customer will tell ten others not to do business there, and that a complaint is the best chance to make the customer happy, because most pi**ed off customers won't say anything and just never come back... I guess CPP could learn something from this beause obviously its true because look at how many prospective customers are being told not to do buisness with them right now, and just because they don't want to comp some cheap blocks. Gotta love the power of boards like this!

ECE has screwed up a few of my orders over the years. Every time though, they express shipped the proper parts to me immediately without question or complaint. I understand humans making mistakes, it's all about how graciously they handle them that leaves an impression on me. If I ever make a mistake, I will try and make it right immediately.

My company has a slogan that cover's most everything, good or bad, when it comes to Customer Service:

"Do the right thing. Period."

And like the company Scoti works for, we also command the largest segment in our given market share.

CPP could learn a lot from this.

So I picked up my Truck from the Mechanics today, after the 2" Lowering Block Install (with the correct Sized U-Bolts).
Bottom line is I LOVE the look.
It rides a "little" stiffer than before, than it did with just the Lowering Springs, but nothing that would have me taking them back out again.

Another thing.....................
My Mechanic only charged me for the time it took to install the,
CORRECT SIZED U-BOLTS!!!

So now that its over and done with and CPP has had 5 days
(and no response from them), they can stick it up their A$$!,

I'll NEVER purchase from them or recommend them again...TO ANYONE!

That being said, I've got the 1st set of U-Bolts,
(I assume their probably for the 1" or 1 1/2" Lowering Blocks) and a set of the "Pancake" style Bump Stops for sale. They say the Bumpstops are for someone with a "C Notch", but they sold them to me anyway.

Jeff, (the guy I had been working with all along), basically admitted NO FAULT on their part and chalked it up to "You can't please everybody".
When I told him how people were talking about their Customer Service Sucking...(I didn't name THIS Forum),
he said that "all Forums are is for people to Rant".
I told him that "Word of Mouth was the Best Advertisement, but no good words were gonna come from MY mouth"!
He said that's how they got started was Word of Mouth. I told him that the same word of Mouth can take that Business away.
So I will NEVER recommend CPP again, and will go to other Vendors for my Suspension needs!

Be sure & post about this in the REVIEWS section of the board under the Bad Deals. A link to this thread & CPP's response in bold should help people make their decision. People should also go through the steps to place an order (w/o giving them your CC info!) & then @ the last minute tell them.... "Ya know what, I remember reading about your customer service after the sale. I think I'll use ECE instead" & cancel the order.

After a few of us do that, they might start listening.

I am having issues with them now. I orderd a window kit from them and they sent me the wrong kit. I sent it back last week, they got it monday according to UPS, and they still havent processed the return and sent me the new parts. Its now 4 days since they received the return. I will be calling tomorrrow if I can beat the 5:30 cut off deadline for customer service.

Please keep us posted of the outcome!

I know when I originally ordered my Lowering Blocks, their site says shipped within 48 Hours.
After 4 days I e-mailed Danny, who came up with the excuse that.... "Modays are crazy around here"
It still took 3 more days AFTER that for Jeff (who I'd been working with before) came back from Vacation to rectify things and still ANOTHER 2 days before it shipped.
It took almost 2 weeks from Online Ordering, until it showed up at my Front door.
I'm in Northern California and there in Southern California.
About a 6 hour drive.

Good info and heads up here. I've ordered plenty from ECE and now will continue to in the future. I'd rather pay more for a product (not that ECE costs more) and have the peace of mind of good customer service on the other end of the line. Thanks for the thread!
