Re: Craigslist Find: 1968 crew cab
Your Lucky it's in Flint, and not in the NW or you would be to late. I would have grabbed that as soon as I saw it for that price. (If there wasn't a huge rust issue) other then that, nothing else would stop be from getting it. All the hard work looks to be done.

Re: Craigslist Find: 1968 crew cab
This looks like one that was in nashville at a swap meet a few years ago. I bought a radiator from the guy. I think i even went to his house and got some corvette ralleys and he talked about the truck. If its the same guy..he said he had cut it down from a burb.

Re: Craigslist Find: 1968 crew cab
I am new to this site. Looked several times but just registered last week. A friend of mine & myself just picked this truck up early last week. The guy selling it said that it came from Kentucky in 03'. Whoever started this project had the right ideas in mind. The roof has all been redone so it does NOT have the hightop roof like the suburbans and the frame has been stretched 5" to accomodate the longer wheelbase of a truck. Whoever stretched the frame did a very professional job. This truck will be on the road by this winter. I'll post some pictures of the build as it goes.
By the way, this is a three door. Would like to convert it to a full crew. Thinking that since the rear doors are not as wide as the fronts, I need to locate a suburban right side rear door so I can change the latches & hinges around to make work. If anyone knows about a door of this type in "decent" shape, I would definately be interested. |
