Re: Bought New Truck-85 C35 Crew Cab Dually
I've run into my first problem with the truck. The ignition does not want to turn all the way back into the off/lock position so that I can remove the key. It'll turn forwards to start the truck, but will only turn about 1/2 way back, where it locks up. No amount of forcing, pushing, or pulling will get it to come all the way back. It worked fine yesterday, doesn't want to work now though. Anyone experienced this before and/or know what to do?

Can anyone help with the key problem? I still haven't been able to get it out.

Re: Bought New Truck-85 C35 Crew Cab Dually
it is going to be one of 3 things, either A you need a new key switch, B. the nylon gear on the back of the key switch that pushes the plunger down has stripped, or C. the switch on the top of the column under the dash is fubar.
Take the switch off the top of the column first, then try turning the key, if the key moves freely, the problem is the switch, if it does not the problem is in the column, you will have to pull the steering wheel and rebuild it. All of the parts to do this are available from LMC If you have any questions on it shoot me a PM
