As far as your oil leak goes, there is a bolt hole, in the front, on the pass side of the motor that is through to the fuel pump push rod galley area. If that hole doesn't have a short bolt (a real short bolt 1/2 inch long) with sealer on the threads oil will come out of the hole. If when you are changing your fuel pump put a longer bolt in that same hole and it will push against the fuel pump push rod and hold it in place while you change the pump.
As far as your bouncing oil pressure gauge goes...maybe you have a bad by-pass spring in your pump that is effected by the hot oil and is fluttering and opening to full by-pass when the rpms go up, or, a bad by-pass spring in your oil filter adapter that is fluttering and opening to full by-pass when the rpms go up, or, you are sucking air because your oil pick up has fallen off and is in the bottom of your oil pan. |
