Supports were not painted. They were coated with a rust inhibiting coating. Just took my originals off, and they look sort of like old galvanize coating.

I have the a 1969 4wd suburban with the PTO and winch from the factory that will pull the house down. The bad is it runs off the 221 rodchester. Looking for a np205 to improve oil leakage.

Don't know if it would help, but I found this link for the '72 suburban (same series, at least). It has all the options available. Perhaps you can poke around the same site to find yours. https://gmheritagecenter.com/docs/gm...t-Suburban.pdf

The first guy on the list said he was just finishing up all the body work on his suburban.I scored a true 1967 3 door with only one bad spot on the suburban the driver side rocker panel got the truck for 400.00 with no front clip It was a 327 th350 after market AC power brake and steering just have a look
