I just was curious, I think its a beaut of a truck but I have seen nicer go for a lot less....and I absolutely love that paint!!!

I did notice the GMC listed as a Chevy and had thoughts as to why and why it wasn't mentioned in the description. The color is REALLY nice and like I said before he did a lot of stuff I'd want to do but there are some different directions I would've went. Namely...suspension. I'm curious as to what's been used and how good What Lies Beneath looks.

The wheels IMO just kills the looks of this truck.

The stance is nice and no mention of how much drop it has or I just missed that part.

Nice truck. But again, I think he missed the boat on the wheels. I guess it really boils down to wanting to get the $ he put into it versus who is willing to pay his reserve.

I like it, The wheels might not be the correct choice, and a couple other items, but I have been restoring cars and trucks for over 20 years and depending if he was the builder or not there is no way you could build that truck for that amount of money, depending on how anal he is in replacing items there is a good chance you couldnt buy all the parts for under 20K. Im not sure if he was the painter or not, but I will not do a complete restoration type paint job for under 10K thats if its clean.

I agree. He might well have twice that much in receipts if he did nothing himself. It can add up fast that way. We'll see if it sells....right now is a really bad time to try and get that much for a truck...the chips are stacked against him for sure.

I think if he had even borrowed some really nice wheels from somewhere/someone it would be the difference between us doubting it and us praising it. Not to say the price and actual facts wouldn't hold many of us back BUT like staging a house or lighting in a showroom it's the presentation that sells. I try to get this point across to my girlfriend. "It's really just the lighting that makes us NEED that Cadillac CTS-V but we may as well give in to it anyway".

My take on the truck is the headers are cheap looking and the interior looks just thrown in there, the floormat doesn't fit right. It's a nice truck, but for 25k it should be perfect.

He may or may not get $25K for it, but you would be hard pressed to build it for that much, even if you did everything yourself. I've got almost that much in my 4Door CrewCab just in parts and the initial purchase..... it adds up really quick. If you like the colors, wheels and interior, I'd say $20-22K would be a good deal. JMHO, for what that's worth, .

^agree 100% they would look a lot better wrapped in white letters though....i don't see how people can say it looks too "old school" when the truck they are goin on is....well,... old school. but i have to admit cragars don't look near as good on a truck thats too low like that one.

i like the truck the way it is. i wouldnt change anything.to each their own. i just dony have the money to spend. but i think it is worth that.

Well my take on it is that the bodywork and paint is nice. The interior is so so. I would have spent the money on a vintage air system if I were going to all this trouble of customizing it. He says it has air but did you notice the compressor. no. none. One of the small lines is even capped off with a little yellow rubber thingy. C'mon a 1000 dollars and get that box off the firewall and really have some cold air. I would say 20 tops after that.

One persons idea of perfect is not the same as the next guys. The quality of vehicles has gone up SO much in the last 15-20years. What used to be an enclosed trailer show queen is now daily driver quality. Unfortunatly these trucks just don't bring the money that a similar era car does. Nowadays $25,000 is low buck as far as finished vehicles go. I've done paint jobs that cost more than this. The bottom line is it, or anything else, is worth whatever someone is willing to pay. But in this economy if you have 5k or 50k in something you're probably going to lose money at sell time.

Value and worth are seperate numbers The value (as in insurance) MIGHT be 25,000, but in this economy I doubt it is worth anywhere close to that. The only measure of it's worth is how much a ready willing and able buyer will give for it. Just like a house....build a million dollar house and sell it in a reccesion, you may get 200,000 for it, it is irrelevant what it cost to build, or who did the work, it will bring fair market value, and these days that does not seem like alot.

Many of you have $25000 in your trucks and more if you count your time. I think it is a sound buy at $20,000 and with some improvemnets could be a $25000 truck in 2-3 years when/if the econom improves.

My 2007 Dodge dually was 50K new and is now worth $25K 2-3 years later.
