Re: Cut Dash For CD Player?

The bottom of the dash has a small lip you can run the wire in. That's the way my mood lights are ran.

Thanks
Benjamin.

Usually they cost around $5-10 +shipping, or you can buy a whole bezel assembly with one on it for usually about $30-40 +shipping either through a board or someplace like ebay if yours isn't in the best shape.

Hit up the local pick and pull yards and you can walk out with a complete dash bezel for $10 though...
That is interesting piece, never seen one before, I have seen them for the 67-72 pickups. Will have to try and find one....

Re: Cut Dash For CD Player?

If someone told me how to hook up and where to hook them up to I wouldnt be scared, and where would I run the speaker wire to it from? Go under the truck and drill a hole where the kick panel is?

Re: Cut Dash For CD Player?

Yo! Hotrod! I can see that you're going to need to see some pics.
All the wires will remain under the dash,...the speaker wires will extend out from the stereo (still under the dash) to the top of either kickpanel, and then drop down behind the panel from above. This hides all the wiring under the dash and behind the kickpanels.
I'll direct you with the power wire hookups, ground can be found or created easily.
I hope to start with my template and marking the cut in the dash tomorrow,...I'll post pics ASAP.
Todd.

Has anybody heard about these units from Pyle? They are very inexpensive for sure. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT
