Joined the Craftec Club, waiting for better weather to install. I'll photo-document the procedure and get it posted.

For you guys who have had your covers for awhile... are they holding up okay?
Was thinking of the vinyl stretching and flapping around when you drive, or sagging when parked. Any comments?

I've heard nothing but good things about this cover from numerous sources. Screamin is to become a DD and I'm really hoping this cover stands up better than the 3 yr old Extang on my F150.....

Hey Big_Al, I guess being in Florida, you daily drive? Was thinking more long term. Looks like your install was in July. But so far, it sounds great! I do like the idea of the light frame with hinges.
I have a home made one involving plywood, gate latches and a piano hinge and some angle iron on the bed insides. Guess I shouldn't complain, it has been installed since probably '95, and just recently needs to be redone.

My son and I put my cover on today, It wasn't too bad. I think it looks pretty cool. I took some pics, One of the truck, one of me and the truck, and one of the boy and my future daughter-in-law.

Good looking truck. I really like the look in that last photo. Are those Coy wheels?

Btw, is that your Chevy II in the background? I used to own a 62' SS.

I was searching out covers and saw the trucks on here with the Craftec covers and liked the way they look. I got my grubby hands on one yesterday and will install it when I get a chance. Thanks for the pics.

Re: Installed craftec inc tonneau cover today $249

got a question i am hoping one of you guys could help me with. i have a 67 lwb that i am triing to decide what to do with the bed floor/cover. mine lays frame so my bed floor is raised. my wheel tubs hit the bottom of the bed rail. would the shocks/mounts clear the tubs? could someone get a pic of it closed showing where they are when down? or can you locate them anywhere on the frame? also is it possible to open without opening the tailgate? i ask because mine doesnt open. thanks!

I would say yes. They mount between the tubs and front of the bed. Plus they only hang down abbout a 1/2"

Re: Installed craftec inc tonneau cover today $249

that sucks. i love the low profile of this one. I guess i have to look into the extang full tilt then(i know that one can unsnap the cover to release the frame from the bed). thanks.

Re: Installed craftec inc tonneau cover today $249

Nice truck by the way. The way it mounts I think you could put magnets inside the lip on the sides to hold it down, Then you could open it without opening the tailgate.

thats an idea i was thinking about. would just need something to make it pop open(was thinking something like the magnets you see on glass doors on entertainment centers). maybe door poppers(from shaved handle kits). Might just have to order it and figure something out. love the low profile look.

I know this is a couple years old, but just wondering how they look now after a few years? And do you still like them? I may get one as well....
