Filer, Idaho.

I went back and checked our "photo of the day" link. It showed a link to the following photos:

...and the following explanation:

"A friend of mine from Las Vegas came up for a visit. We hit the old Oregon Trail (U.S. 30) between Boise and Twin Falls."

Re: Operation: TOW M8R

If anyones is interested, we own the 57 chevy tow truck that mater was most likely based off of, we had to run off the damn movie people from our property several times when they were here doing research for route 66, they wouldn't stop taking pictures of this and other things we had, they won't admit that it is based off of ours (probably so they wouldn't have to pay for likeness, royalties or whatever it is called - lol), but come on, can't help but see it... and it is a factory 57 chevy wrecker, been in our family for my lifetime (34 years)...

Re: Operation: TOW M8R

really bad pic of it... also located in Galena Kansas where the other truck that mater is supposedly based off of is located, that truck has zero resemblance to mater, ours is just like it... i think they used our look, and changed it up some, at that time the truck did not have a hood on it and was missing a headlight...

and a new pic after we broke the truck in half (not on purpose though!)... frame rails gave away and snapped it in half...
