Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.

Looking good. Glad to see another person from up in this part of the state.

Just keep plugging along, and you'll get it taken care of - the rust repairs look spot on.

What're your ultimate plans for the ol' girl?

-Sam.

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.

Yup, it's raining pretty good up here at the moment.

Good work so far, now take advantage of the weather and get to the garage! Haha, that's where I'm going right now..

Oh, and if you haven't, check out harbor freight or a liquidation store for a cheap hammer and dolly set. You might be able to save your fender, and if not, it's good practice for a skill that comes in very handy. Just a thought.

Keep at 'er!

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.

Looking good man. I give you major props, you're getting stuff done!

On the dent, if you didn't already, I'd try to pound out that dent a little just to minimize the amount of bondo.

grab a hammer, and a chunk of 2x4, and give 'er. Just remember, the last part of the dent to go in, is the first to come out. And if I remember right, the warping looked like it was locked in minimally. You could pretty easily bump it out to only a few minor low spots, and then fill it. I think you'd be happier with the overall finish, coming from someone who threw bondo at their truck like an angry monkey flings crap.

Aside from that, I dig the stance. It should settle a bit more, but even at that, I like the rake. But, thats just me.
