Dodge also made a similar truck called the Warlock...it was black. They made one other, the name escapes me, but it was rarer than the LRE and Warlock.

EDIT: Remembered, it was the Midnight Express.

Re: Another CL find - Street Coupe edition

Not trying to start a Dodge discussion, but weren't those trucks supposed to be a little "hotter" than the average Dodge pickup? It seems to me that I read somewhere that they got around the emissions laws of the day by putting go-fast parts on a truck.
:EDIT: Of course, they were STILL a Dodge!

Just an FYI, the Warlock was also available in dark green. I don't know if they offered any "special" performance packages on the Dodge trucks. I do know that the early models were available with the 440 motor.

Love the stepside Street Coupe!!

Dodge or not, I like those stepsides. Yes, some had 440's in them, but the LRE only had a 360 police engine in it I believe. Most had bucket seats as well.

Re: Another CL find - Street Coupe edition

I could see going $14k for the right truck. It'd have to be just what I wanted and have the quality i would give one when building it. Of course cool paint and big blocks help...lol

On the $30k truck.... Just imagine the truck you could build yourself for that money.

Perhaps the wipers...they appear to be mirrored?? Not sure 100%, but that would be my indicator.

EDIT: the entire image appears to be mirrored...look at the grill and door graphics....

Re: Another CL find - Street Coupe edition

I know the truck and its history;a number of the street coupes and chevy sports sold in the us were built in Canada; This is full load bucket seat/tach truck from the factory;the previous owner removed the 305 and installed the 454 when doing the restoration. It is a factory shortbox stepside;the painted bumpers were part of the sc package..

If I had more garage space it would join my 81 fleetside sc....but I would put the 305 back in it.

I want to put the stepside bed back on and all the gmc emblems but i dont think ill repaint it with the same paint scheme. I just wish i still had the sticker in my dash to fully confirm it is one but i had a thread a while back and me and a few others a pretty sure that it is one has all the right colors and stuff.

Wow. That really looks nice.

Sidebar: I'm feeling a "stream of consciousness" coming on about those aluminum wheels....

You probably already know this, but there were two versions available, both alike in appearance. Originally, it was a "forged" wheel, but was later changed to a "cast" wheel as a cost savings/mass reduction. There were two different wheel RPOs associated with the change, one was a "PF-something" (PF2, maybe? 15x7) and the other was a "N something", IIRC. Forged were somewhat smooth on the backside; cast were a little thinner in cross section but with strengthening ribs on the back.

Can you tell me the wheel RPO of the ones on your truck?
