Frame getting wrapped up. Have to put one more brace in and strip it down for body work, but the welding is about done!

Re: Thiftmaster S10 build

Truck is looking excellent! I would like to know if you are using the original body mounts off the s-10? Have you considered using rack & pinion?

Re: Thiftmaster S10 build

Sorry havent repsonded. thanks for the compliments. As far as the rust and dents I wish now lookin back on it I would have found a really clean surface rusted body and just slapped it on this chassis. We used thornbeck Bros A arms made for the S10. The stock ones work to, we were just trying to make it look better cosmetically. We have about 90 percent of the body work done and just about ready to start painting. We got the paint in a few days ago. It is going to be a burnt orange Hot Rod Flatz paint with some cool pin striping.

Re: Thiftmaster S10 build

Do you have any pics of how you mounted your core support?

I really like what you did with the dash.

Re: Thiftmaster S10 build

Thx guys! We try and do as mjuch ourselves as we can. And have A LOT of help from family and freinds! I'm hoping paint comes out good. This is our first "flat" paint job. And if anyone wants to buy wheels and tires you can have them for what I paid. They are brand new! I wanna go with white walls and steelies!

Re: Thiftmaster S10 build

I got a few pics with my phone so they are kind of dark but Ill get some more when I get camera charged. Hope this helps. It really isnt anything fancy. Ill take some also as it is going together over the next few weeks so you can see how the front end and sheetmetal engine compartment goes together. That might help as well.
