Re: Daughters Graduation Pictures

Great pictures! and here's an idea for you younger guys with little kids about to start school:

I had just gotten my '63 stepside not long before my daughter started school in 89. On her first day of school, I took her picture standing on the stepside of my truck. I repeated this every year, and did the same with her little brother when he started school.

Now they are both in the 20's, college age. I have a picture of them each year at first day of school, from kindagarten through high school graduation,...on the same stepside, on the same truck, with the same fading out paint... kinda neat.

Re: Daughters Graduation Pictures

4dranch, its alway good to see family connecting to a truck. My 63 was my late fathers, and my kids barely knew him...but this truck is special to them because of that connection

Here's the twenty years of pics you requested! They used to be framed, but just layed them out on the table so you could see them all. did the same with my son.

Starting at 1 o'clock is pre-K, going around clockwise through high school graduation.

BTW, shes a grown professional now, and the truck is totally apart..just painted the frame and starting the restoration. Maybe have it back finished in time for grandkids first day of school someday

Although not in front of one of my trucks, we've done the same thing w/my GF's daughter. 1st day of each school year since Kindergarten, we do the obligatory pic in front of the car/house before heading off for the new adventure. This year, the pic was in front of HER car.... just before she drove off to school. Next year, she'll be a senior so I intend to put her in front of a hot-rod!

Very cool pics BTW.
