Hartford Ohio is 645 miles from me and a 10 hour drive. I don't have $1500 right now. I have a whole truck now. Thanks though.

Re: WTB 4WD SWB frame in or near near CT

I think I may have found one for you ( not 100% its a swb)??? not sure what the guy wants it sits in the woods pretty good but I looked the truck over and the frame looked to be in decent shape....the motor/trans has been stripped...the cab is there but JUNK and it has a J*NK flat bed on it ,,,I can go offer the guy something for it just not sure what there worth...there maybe a couple small parts worth saving thats why I looked...like PB and the tinted glass...I might be able to help you out but it's nothing I want to get in the middle off

Jeff,
Thanks for looking out. I found one in CT. It was at junkyard so I paid a premium, $450 plus tax. It was a single owner truck from FL. Lots of scaling, but no rot.

Thanks,
Dave

Glad I saw this, was getting some hits on the thread I posted for ya over on CK5, now I can delete it.

Great you found one so close.

Consider the extra $$ paid as travel expense you won't need to spend now.

Re: WTB 4WD SWB frame in or near near CT

I was looking at just a frame for $500 in West VA and then a roller w/trans for $550, but my junkyard wanted $450 bare frame and $800 for it with springs and rear ends. I think they are worth what ever someone is willing to pay. I mean if it is a SWB it is really rare. LWB not so much. If you want a stright swap like I am doing. If I had the time I could have gotten a 2wd frame and converted it. I have the bad 4wd frame under my truck now and it would be easy to swap parts over I assume.

Re: WTB 4WD SWB frame in or near near CT

OH the old one...yes I will be and maybe torching some stuff. I am used to it though I used to restore antique cars and taking apart vehicles that had not been apart in 50 or more years. Those are real fun. I meant easier to swap 4wd to 4wd that try and figure out brackets, etc...

Re: WTB 4WD SWB frame in or near near CT

I didn't know it was this weekend. I went to the Lake Compounce one a few years ago and they didn't have much if at all. It supposed to be real nasty this weekend. Nor'easter they said. I don't know how many vendors there will be. I just blew so much cash on the frame and cab with doors I just got. I so want a 67-68 nose though. I could also use some bed stuff.
