You guys should check out your local upholster. I just had my seat done and mentioned trying to mess with the dash and fiberglass it and he told me he could recover it with new foam for $200. It's going to have some seams just to make it a bit easier but black vinyl with red seams will look perfect in my truck to match the seat.
