update 2/1/10:
Just a note that I haven't forgot about anybody on this Thread.
My Truck IS back Home from the Body Shop.
But seeing as though My Garage is only 290 SQ. FT. there's NOT enough room to work inside to install the Seats.
2nd thing is, that it's gotta NOT be Raining/Snowing, so I can pull the Truck outside to do the Install (take step by step pictures for my Website and everybody here).
3rd it's gotta be above 60 Degrees, because my circulation is so bad in my Hands, that I loose the Dexterity, in them, if it's much colder than 60 Degrees.

So suffice to say...I'm in a holding pattern ...AND IT SUCKS!!!

Think I'm gonna work at pulling out my old Bench Seat out tomorrow, while my Truck is inside it's VERY SMALL GARAGE.

Since I've gone through Multiple Operations in the last 2 years, and my Hand Dexterity is somewhat limited, I was going to ask for any pointers/Do's or Don'ts in removing the seat.
Seem pretty staright forward with 4 Bolts (one on each corner), holding it down......correct?

UPDATE 2/6/10:


OK as promised I've created a "Picture Gallery" of my New "Seat Install".

It will be slow going, as I have other Personal issues/Time Constraints going on in between installing Seats.
Today was taking out the old seat, putting it in back of the Bed.
Then I took out the NEW Seats/Boxes/Brackets/Center Console out of Storage (in the Garage) and threw IT into the bed of my Truck.
Tomorrow will be Vacuuming/cleaning and spraying some Rustolieum on the floorboard. There is currently No Rust and the Pan looks DAMN GOOD for 38 Years old! I do need to see if I can find a set of Retractable Seatbelts,
(like in the Picture Gallery) BEFORE I put the seats back in.
If anyone has some used Belts in Gray that are in Good Shape, just taking up space in your Garage and wanna sell cheap.... drop me a line!

Ya those seats look very close to the factory buddy bucketseats. except with a cooler console. I would love to know what kind of quality they are as well. I will be tossing around seat ideas in the near future. There must be somebody else on this forum who installed them already. Maybe you should start a thread asking for that particular seat brand installed.

The quality (so far) is FANTASTIC. Meets all the Seat Manufactorers Standards. I'm glad I popped the extra$$ for the Leather as opposed to the Vinyl.

Ordering matching seat belts this weekend. As soon as they arrive,
I'll install them and THEN the seats.
Probably another 2-3 weeks.

So here it is the Weekend and they're closed, so we'll see what NEXT WEEK brings us.

I'm not TOO Frustrated yet as the Original completion date was slated for November 17th, so anything BEFORE that is good.
Its just that if you don't know where the seats are in the Manufacturing Process, then don't be making promises you can't keep!

So on Monday 3/1/10 I ordered Matching Retractable Seat Belts from this
So on Monday 3/1/10 I ordered Matching Retractable Seat Belts from this SAME Company and received an Invoice that same evening.
My account was Debited on Tuesday 3/2/10.
On Wednesday 3/3/10, I e-mailed them asking for the Fed Ex Tracking Number.
On Thursday 3/4/10, I received an e-mail from them, stating the Seat Belts would not be shipping out until Thursday 3/11/10!!!

When I contacted them and stating my Frustration, they simply said....
"We ship out items every 2-3 weeks and we Debit your account immediately after you place an order".

I told them that maybe this would be a handy piece of information to have on their site or during the checkout process.
Not too happy with them at this point, but we'll see what transpires and the quality of the Belts.

They sent me the wrong Seat Nelt color. They sent a Grey Shell with a Black Belt inside!!!
The replacement was to be delivered LAST Friday bu Fed Ex but there was a "Delivery Exception" and it is supposed to be delivered TODAY. I'm planning on installing them at the end of this week and there will be pictures!

UPDATE 4/15/10

Hey Gang,

Here's the LONG update (hopefully in a Nut Shell).....
Got the Rust issue taken care of on the Floor Pan.
Got the Carpet re-sprayed Black.
Got the Correct Seat Belt Color (was shipped the WRONG Color).

My problem was the "Generic Seat Belt Brackets they sent were C R A P!!!
I had a Metal Working friend of mine, customize all 4 Brackets.
Yesterday I JUST got the Brackets, Carpet, Seat Belts installed.
Today is the Sub Frame install and hopefully the seats this Sunday.

As far as this Company "Discount Van":

1) I would rate their product an A/A+ !
2) As far as their Customer Service I'd give it a C-.
3) Their Quality Control (shipping the right parts) D.

The WORST part of all this, is they DON'T provide Installation Instructions, with the product or Online.
I've been trying to install these seats since around February 1st,
and because of the Wrong Parts being shipped, here we are April and I'm STILL trying to install them!

I had to take 5 pictures of all the parts they sent and Label each picture. I then sent it to them and it took almost 2 WEEKS, to get a reply.
Only THEN did I find out that they had shipped the WRONG ADAPTER BRACKETS, for the Seats I ordered, and THAT was only because I had sent them pictures because they didn't provide Instructions.
Had I had those instructions, I would have known SOONER that I had the wrong parts and the Seats would have been installed long ago!

Bottom line is, if you have about 8 weeks to spend after you order your Seats from them, and then immediately open the boxes to make sure you have all the CORRECT PARTS, and if your a Weekend Mechanic that can install things WITHOUT INSTRUCTIONS, (which I can't), then go for it.

Like I said, this company makes a GREAT product, and if they DO send the wrong part, they correct their mistake, but the Turn-Around time for those mistakes and if you need questions answered is WAY TOO LONG for me.

Attached are pictures of the Custom Brackets and Belts up through today.
