Placement looks good. You sholud double check it by installing the water pump/fan/radiator to confirm it. As far as the tubular mount goes. If you just try and twist it so the drop moves to the rear it will cause the motor mount tubes to rotate forward. That will require you to cut them loose and reweld them. As KultureKat says you might be able to flip it around side to side and it should put the drop to the rear and not affect to motor mounts as much, just a thought!

I figure what I am going to do is put the transmission mount in place (not welded) and bolt the transmission up, then get the motor hoist and take the weight of the engine mounts, cut them while they are still bolted to the engine.
There are only two very small tack welds that hold the tube on the engine crossmember in its place. I can easilty grind those off, twist the tube into the proper position, and lower the engine in place and weld the motor mount eyes back on. Ill keep u guys updated, and i REALLY appreciate the comments!!
