I have to agree. You can do amazing things with the original paint on these things. Scrub it clean as a whistle and see what ya got. It it's dull and ugly go at it gently with a water hose on low and about 1000 grit sand paper. You'd be amazed what you can reveal. When you like what you see, stop sanding and proceed to polishing compound if you want a sheen to it. I dry sanded the dash on my 66 chevy truck and removed tons of pitting and trash and now have a nice, smooth dash surface that looks so much better than it did...

Just to let yal know I'm going to keep lurking around I have really enjoyed reading yal's builds they have honestly made me keep my truck a lot longer than I should have I've been in the military for 9 years now and honestly because of moving around so much do not have the time or space to build it like it should be.
