A vendor in Canada sells a complete bed kit for around 3K CAD if I recall right. Options such as stainless strips, lettered tailgate, etc.. make the cost go up or down some.

If they are all the same length then where do they bolt to the frame?
is it further up under the cab?

if you look at how they are made . . . the only way to shorten the wheelbase if the trailing arms are the same length is to move the crossmember further up the frame
